Please Help Me! Why Can't I Fall Pregnant?

GET PREGNANT NATURALLY - ACTION PLAN FOR SUCCESS!

Why Can't I Fall Pregnant? is one question I hear so often at my clinic, and as many of us have learned the hard way, there is no magical one minute cure that will bring the joy you so desperately crave. For the vast majority of couples out there that are trying to fall pregnant, there is no 'medical' reason for your lack of success, nature just does not seem to get it right and in our desperation we will go to the ends of the earth to find a solution.

After having two miscarriages myself, I know only too well the pain that it causes. Isn't it our natural right that when we have chosen the right time for us, a baby should be on it's way to our house 9 months later? Someone forgot to tell the heavens that this is how it should work for all that wish for it. With much research under my belt, including me as a prime guinea pig and with the help of friends and clients who have managed to acheive their dream, I have developed the following ACTION PLAN which you can start TODAY!

Many couples run to Fertility Clinics and undergo the very expensive, and often heartbreaking treatment of IVF, but before you do this, I suggest to all my clients that they give the following ACTION PLAN a 3 month trial first, your health and quite possibly your wallet will thank you.

GET PREGNANT NATURALLY
ACTION PLAN
STRESS - We all have to deal with stress, but when our stress levels get to high, the detrimental effect on our hormones is huge and in turn will play a large part in the chances of a successful pregnacny. It's time to do a STRESS stocktake!
Grab a notebook and pen:-
- Make an honest list of all the things in your life that cause you stress right now.
- Do not leave anything out and do not edit it, just let it flow.
- Put a numerical figure next to each one, starting with No. 1 for the worst offender and continue
to number each item on your list.
- Starting with No. 1 - make an action plan for removing or reducing this stress from your life.
Can you enlist the help of someone else? Can you pay someone to help fix it?
Is it really as bad as it seems or are you making it worse than it needs to be?

The quicker you deal with and remove or reduce their impact, the reduction in stress level is going to make you much happier and much more receptive to the good things that are coming to you.

Invest in a bottle of Lavender Pure Essential Oil and use regularly. Put 6 drops plus water into an oil burner, add a few drops to your bath or sprinkle a few drops onto a tissue and inhale directly.

Meditation is a superb tool for handling stress (please read my article on this blog all about it).

CAFFEINE - I love my morning coffee, and my afternoon one and my tea at night, BUT caffeine is not your friend. It has a negative effect on fertility and can interfere with the fertilised egg's ability to become implanted in the uterus. If you can't completely give the 'brew' away, make sure you are having no more than 1 cup per day! Tea is a better option, but again that is not licence to have 10 cups a day.

STOP SMOKING - Everyone know that smoking is one of the worst things we can do for our health, but when it comes to fertility the list grows longer. Smoking increases the risk of first trimester miscarriage, can contribute to premeture birth, underweight babies, babies with asthma, and learning difficulties. Prospective fathers are not off the hook here either, healthy sperm production is dramatically reduced by direct or passive cigarette smoke. Please take a positive step and get rid of the cigarettes in your life. Nicotine patches are extremely effective in helping you win the battle to quit.

TOXICITY - Our enviroment is becoming more heavily laden with toxins that we simply cannot avoid. The air becomes more and more polluted, our water is heavily treated, many of the foods we eat are genetically modified and grown in soils that no longer have the nutrient levels contained in them. Now is not the right time to go on a full detoxification program as if you are successful in conceiving then you could be lacking the vital nutrients required by a developing baby, so just follow some of the simple solutions to reducing your toxicity levels.

- Drink at least 8 glasses of pure/filtered water per day
- Buy organic foods where possible
- Avoid overprocessed and oversweet products that are full on sugar and nasty fats
- Enjoy the juice of two oranges & one lemon, combined over a few ice cubes each day
- Relax in a bath with 1 cup of Epsom Salts placed in it as often as you can find the time.
- Invest in a good body exfoliant. Use in the shower at least twice a week, as removing
dead skin cells regularly is helpful to the skin for releasing toxins.

Male Sperm health is on a general decline compared to their fathers and can often be the blame for failure to conceive. It is just as important for men to take conception seriously and take actions to create the healthiest sperm possible. It takes 72 days to create a new 'healthy batch', so following detoxification program is just as important for them. Men who have driving/sitting jobs, need to ensure they do not overheat 'down below'. Regular exercise, moving around and not wearing clothes that are too tight can help.

FOCUS ON FABULOUS - Do you spend a lot of time depressed about not having successfully falling pregnant? Do you feel jealous of other ladies with their babies? Do you have trouble focusing on anything other than your lack of success?

The more you focus on what you don't have or want, the more of that will be brought into your life. Now is one time in your life that it is VITAL to focus on the right things to bring in what it is you truly desire.

It's time to stocktake again!
- Make a list of ALL the good things in your life right now
- Don't consider it too trivial, add it to your list
- Every night before nodding off to sleep, let all the good things wander through your mind
- Show real GRATIUDE for what you do have, not what you don't!

I give you permission to Daydream by imagining how good it will feel to experience parenthood, welcome the new addition to your family, enjoy the joy all your friends and family will express at your success. Do this EVERYDAY!

EAST MEETS WEST - Even though having two miscarriages was very upsetting and disheartening, I took the the glimmer of hope given to me by my doctor, that if you were able to conceive that the chances of us having a successful pregnancy in the future was possible. Nature was just being cruel or maybe sparing us from even deeper heartache by taking our baby in the first trimester.

Not one to sit back and do nothing, I decided the best choice of action for me was to travel down the path of Chinese/Herbal medicine with the hope of having success. Two girls later, I am convinced that this path was the right one. I have seen some of my friends and clients have the same success, but unfortunately the wonderful doctor that helped us is no longer practicing and did not pass her amazing skills onto the a younger generation to keep up her great work. It took a long time, but I have found the best alternative and you can get Expert Help from Lisa. Chinese medicine is a well proven way to restore natural balance to the body and help it do what it was designed for.

If you follow the above guidelines you chances of success are going to improve greatly and I wish you all the best of luck and please post a comment if you would like any further information or help with any of the above suggestions.

Simple Meditation for Super Success!

Would you like the key to a NEW you and the path to a more fulfilling life?

Is meditation worth the effort? You bet it is!

If you think you have to sit on the floor and contortion yourself into a lotus, shave your head, and go and lock yourself away in a mountain retreat – think again. Meditation is for EVERYONE and that means YOU too. Many people think of meditation as a trance like state where you remove yourself from the real world. Meditation does allow states of deep relaxation, but can also be an effective tool to rejuvenate yourself, overcome fatigue and sluggishness, boost your energy flow, and help release negative and stressful thought patterns.

Meditation has a long list of benefits and everyone will reap the rewards of there effort:-

- Reduces stress
- Lowers Blood Pressure
- Improves sleep patterns
- Better physical health
- Slows the heart rate
- Allows you to let go of negative things that you have no control over
- You will be more understanding of others thoughts and feelings
- Calm the mind and provide clarity of thought
- Promotes a positive outlook on life
- Enhances concentration
- Creates a harmonious link between you and your environment
- Provide inner peace
- Allows your Intuition (inner guidance system) to serve you better

Enough with the convincing that it is worth your while, let’s get down to the nitty gritty of how ANYONE can incorporate meditation into their daily lives and reap the benefits.

You don’t need to allow hours and hours, and reality if that is what was required, it would be out of the reach for most of us as we just cannot spare that much time out of our busy schedules.
If you can find 10 minutes a day, you can be on the path to success. Some prefer to meditate upon rising in the morning, others prefer to do it when they go to bed. It is your choice and there are no rules, you decide when suits you best. If you can allocate a certain part of the day and stick with that it will be to your benefit.

It does not matter whether you lie down or sit, as long as you are warm and comfortable. You must be able to completely relax and breathe easily and deeply, so experiment with different places/positions until you find the one that is perfect for you. If you are worried about nodding off to sleep, use a kitchen timer to alert you that your time is up. If you are worried about dozing you will not be able to fully relax. Take your phone off the hook and flick your cell to silent mode. You want to avoid all possible distractions.

In our every day lives, our minds chatter with thoughts at an amazing pace, you never have a completely blank moment, something is always going on in there. Meditation is about learning to turn off that chatter and for many this is the biggest stumbling block to success.

When you have made yourself comfortable, gently close your eyes and start taking nice slow deep breaths. Focus on your chest slowly rising and sinking, starting at the top of your head and working down to your feet, feel each part of your body relax. If your chattering mind won’t rest, count ‘1’ on each breath in and ‘2’ on each breath out. When thoughts do enter, gently push them aside, try not to focus and elaborate on what you are thinking about. Don’t be surprised if for your first few attempts you cannot ‘empty’ your mind. It takes practice, and please don’t try to force them away. It is years of living that are at work in your mind, you cannot just throw all that away in an instant. If you have a really dominant, negative thought, you can try mentally ‘throwing it in the bin’ before you start your meditating. You are just telling that thought it no longer needs to be controlling you. You can pick your favourite spot on earth and visualise being there, that is more relaxing than stressing over something if you just cannot let it go.

Meditation can be challenging, especially if you want instant results, but slowly and gently persevere it is worth it. Some people respond better if they listen to a guided meditation, that will provide soothing music and gentle prompts on lovely things to focus on, and if the ‘silent’ style above just does not work for you, then a guided helping hand could be of benefit. The following site has hundreds of meditations, including many that can tackle specific issues you might be dealing with or help to enhance a special part of you Click Here - just find your ideal method and go with it.

Good Luck!

My Fight With Fibroids, Please Don't Make The Same Mistakes I Did.

The joys of being a woman!

For years I battled with fibroids, as they slowly grew bigger, life got harder and harder, and being the strong willed one that I am, I just learned to live with the symptoms until it all came crashing down on Christmas Day 2007…I don’t want to scare anyone or shame them into taking action, my goal is to stop women from going through what I did, as early action is way better than the cure.

My fight with fibroids started 15 years ago, after experiencing a miscarriage, my doctor performed a curette and let me know that I had some small fibroids that would need to be ‘shaved’ as they can grow with a point at the top, and this could be a threat to possible future pregnancies. Six weeks later I went in for the quick day surgery, and when I came out of the anaesthetic my doctor kindly informed me that they had disappeared all of their own accord. I had changed jobs from working 60 hours a week as a very stressed Corporate Travel Consultant to temping with Travel Agencies that needed relief staff, so I put it all down to a major reduction in stress that had fixed the ‘problem’. Fortunately I was able to go on and have two gorgeous daughters without worry.

I had always been one of the ‘blessed’ ones when it came to periods, they only lasted for 2-3 days, were light and I had never had a cramp, couldn’t understand what others girls kept complaining about. Five years ago, things slowly started to change, my periods got heavier and heavier and heavier. I would have times where it literally flooded out of me, but I kept on working, always carrying ‘supplies’ in my pocket for that quick dash to the toilet to refresh. Cramping started as a little niggle occasionally and got so bad that sometimes it would feel like a dagger was being twisted around in my uterus. I would come home from work and collapse on the couch, all energy drained from me, little did I know that anaemia had hit me hard due to the amount of Iron I was loosing, as my periods would go on for weeks.

A trip to the doctors confirmed my suspicions that fibroids were growing merrily and my only option was to have a hysterectomy. I didn’t want to know about that, having bits removed were not on my ‘to do’ list, not being able to drive for weeks didn’t impress me either. Relief was at hand with lovely medication prescribed to me that stopped the bleeding in it’s tracks (yippie!), but I could not stay on these forever, but did enjoy the relief they offered when I did use them. A mega dose Iron Supplement did help to improve my energy levels, and I did a lot of reading on natural therapies and tried quite a few, but never stuck with any of them long term.

Christmas Day 2007 was the last straw for me. Our family went out to lunch at a very nice restaurant, of which I spent the first hour sitting in the bathroom as the flow would not stop, even for a second. By the grace of god, it finally eased and very cautiously joined my family for lunch and was given ‘reprieve’ for the next 3 hours. When we got home the bleeding struck again, and I was having a shower looking at these huge clots falling to the floor. My husband walked in at this time and he went into panic mode, and before I knew it I was on my way to hospital. Merry Christmas to me…A big dose of Primolut would help the bleeding to stop and blood tests showed that I had lost so much blood, that had I stayed at home and not gone to hospital, I would have seen my in full Renal failure by the morning.

Needless to say I had to put up the flag of surrender and have a full hysterectomy as soon as possible. Because the fibroid was so large, I could not have keyhole surgery, but had to have the full cut, I could not drive for weeks and I was in a lot of pain even with the help of painkillers. I could not do my own housework, or cook or anything except laze on the couch and that was just so hard for me. It also took away my ability to have more children, even though in all honesty we didn’t really want any more, but the option was well and truly gone. It took months before I could comfortably sit at a desk chair, but I must say now that it is over and done with, I am very grateful for the outcome, but I should never have let it get out of control like I did.

Fibroids are usually benign tumours, and even though they can cause discomfort, they are not usually a direct threat to our long term wellbeing, unless they get out of control like mine. There is no simple ‘one stop’ remedy as fibroids have many factors that contribute to their growth. Please don’t end up like me, take action early and you CAN win the fibroid war.

There are lot's of natural ways to help treat fibroids, and prevention/intervention can help you avoid the more radical approaches such as surgery, and I wish I had discovered this early enough:- Click Here!

Is SNORING driving you mad?

IS SNORING DRIVING YOU TO DISTRACTION??

Snoring is one of the most annoying things that many of us have to deal with.

It deprives us of our precious sleep, leaving us tired and grumpy and unable to face each new day alive and fresh.

As a Natural Therapist, I can help people deal with all matter of conditions, using natural, drug free, and surgery free alternatives. Unfortunately main stream medicine is so quick to suggest the scalpal when snoring is an issue, and rightly so, as it has a detrimental effect on your health and those that have to live with it.

SNORING is a common complain, that so many people have asked me for help with, and my husband has been my 'guinea pig' with a long list of nose clips, rings, sprays, aromatherapy etc.
You name it, we have tried it, and I am one of the lucky ones who can at least get peace and quite if I can roll him over on to his right hand side, but that is not always possible.

Finally after much searching for a non surgical alternative, we hit the jackpot with a complete 'retraining' progam that has worked wonders at our house, any many other people that I have suggested it to.

If you need relief and good night's sleep, this has got to be the best investment you can make, just dedicate a little time and the miracle of good nights sleep is yours. Enjoy!

Wishing you a good night's sleep.

"Our Health is our Greatest Asset"

If you answered YES to the above questions, CONGRATULATIONS, good health and wellbeing are on your side. If you answered NO to one or more of the above questions, you are amoung the majority of people who could be suffering from toxicity.

The three major factors that threaten our health today are TOXICITY, STRESS & NURTIONAL DEPRIVATION.

These factors stop our bodies from functioning as it was designed to. We naturally detox everyday, but pollutants in our enviroment are increasing daily, the soils produce our foods are now lacking in the vital minerals and trace elements that our bodies crabe, and we cannot remove them at the rate required. Because of this our bodies react in many ways such as:-
- Increased weight (especially around the middle)
- Lack of Energy
- Brittle Nails
- Lacklustre Hair
- Blemished Skin
- Increased Allergies
- Development of Disease

BUT all is not lost, there are ways we can combat all of this and win the war!

Some of them are very enjoyable.....
